Massage therapy refers to a comprehensive health management strategy focusing on the application of various techniques to positively affect the soft tissues and joints of the body. Massage techniques most commonly include pressure and compression, kneading, frictioning and mobilizing to improve the health and condition of the muscles, tendons, skin, fascia or connective tissue of the body. Massage can also decrease pain, increase range of motion, improve mood, aid in circulation of blood and lymph flow, reduce muscle and joint soreness and improve sleep.

Kylie Burnett knew she would become a massage therapist from a young age. She found out early about the benefits of massage from being involved in many sports and activities, including synchronized swimming, playing badminton and performing in band. She also worked as a lifeguard in North Battleford, teaching swimming lessons and aqua fit classes while in high school, and that gave her the opportunity to realize massage therapy was truly what she wanted to do. With her passion for human anatomy and helping others, massage therapy was a great fit. Kylie went on to Regina the following fall after graduating high school to pursue her passion for massage therapy.

Kylie graduated from Western College of Remedial Massage Therapy in Regina in June of 2017 with her 2200-hour diploma. She graduated with honours, receiving the Principal’s award for 100% attendance and above 90% average as well as the London and Counties of Physiologists award for participation in extra continuing education throughout training. She is a member of the Massage Therapy Association of Saskatchewan (MTAS).

Kylie understands the benefits of regular massage and at-home self-care, such as stretching. Her goal is to pass on as much knowledge to her clients as she can while still giving them a relaxing environment to de-stress. Kylie feels a massage not only de-stresses the body, but also helps de-stress the mind as well. Working in a spa environment in the past, gave her the knowledge and ability to give a professional relaxing spa feel and combine it with a soothing home environment to make her clients as comfortable as possible.

As of March 2020, Kylie now offers treatments for SGI Claims.
